Climate action
The fight against climate change is, due to its urgency, a priority for the Jerónimo Martins Group, which develops specific actions to mitigate the impacts of its consumption and activities. Some examples are the attainment of renewable energy certificates, the installation of equipment with natural refrigerant gases in the cold chains of its stores and distribution centres, and the investment in renewable energy systems, highlighting the use of solar water heater collectors and the installation of photovoltaic panels at the facilities.
Testimony
Joining the Porto Climate Pact is a natural step for us, as we share the concerns, the goal of reducing GHG emissions, the direction towards specific actions, and the awareness of the need for transparency in communicating the progress made in meeting the defined goals.
