The Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP) is one of the most innovative law schools in Portugal, being the first to offer Criminology studies, which, alongside Law, defines its educational and research focus. Additionally, FDUP provides services to the community in areas such as legal consultancy and crime prevention.

Climate action

Climate Action is included in the Law degree curriculum and is also a subject of research in Criminology. FDUP has been committed to implementing institutional measures to enhance energy efficiency and waste reduction.

Testimony

FDUP’s mission is to teach and research in the fields of Legal and Criminological Sciences, within which environmental concerns have become increasingly relevant. Strengthening the global commitment to combating climate change, we could not fail to support the Porto Climate Pact.
